American Bank Holdings, Inc. Company Overview:

American Bank Holdings owns American Bank, which has about a half dozen branches in Maryland and Washington, DC, including two locations within A&P's Super Fresh supermarkets. The company also has a loan production office in Charlotte. The bank offers such traditional services and products as passbook, NOW, and money market accounts; IRAs; and CDs. Its loan portfolio consists largely of residential mortgage and construction loans. The bank also offers commercial mortgages and boat loans, as well as business loans, consumer loans, and leases. American Bank agreed to buy Columbus, Ohio-based Grange Bank, a subsidiary of Grange Mutual Casualty Company in 2007. Chairman J. R. Schuble owns 20% of the company.
