The company has three divisions: CSL Bioplasma, CSL Behring, and CSL Biotherapies, which work with human plasma derivatives, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostics, respectively. CSL Biotherapies produces influenza vaccines sold in Australia and internationally; the US FDA approved CSL's flu vaccine in 2007. It has manufacturing facilities in Australia, Europe, and the US. In 2008 the company agreed to acquire US-based Talecris Biotherapeutics, also a maker of plasma therapies, for $3.1 billion.
